Injection Molding

Plastic injection molding for custom OEM components

Injection molding is used for discrete plastic parts that need repeatable geometry and production consistency. IBPlastic reviews the part design, material, mold concept, critical dimensions, and use conditions before tooling and trial production.

Project review

A molded part starts with geometry and use conditions

Material selection, wall thickness, ribs, bosses, draft, undercuts, assembly points, and cosmetic surfaces can affect the mold concept and production route. These items should be reviewed before the tooling is locked.

  • 2D/3D part data or a physical sample
  • Critical dimensions and assembly requirements
  • Material, color, surface, or performance requirements
  • Expected order quantity and repeat-production plan

Tooling

Mold decisions are part of the manufacturing decision

Cavity count, parting line, gate location, ejection, cooling, inserts, and other mold details affect both part quality and production economics. Tooling scope is therefore evaluated together with the production requirement.

Production

Trial, confirmation, and repeat manufacturing

After tooling is prepared, trial parts are used to review the agreed dimensions, fit, appearance, and functional requirements. Any production commitment is based on the confirmed project specification rather than a generic molding assumption.
